The problem

The problem we solve

Most SAP landscapes we walk into share the same pressures: a hard deadline, a backlog of change requests, and users working around the system instead of in it.

  1. A deadline that will not move

SAP ECC mainstream maintenance ends on 31 December 2027, and a migration done properly takes 12 to 18 months.

  2. Custom code nobody wants to touch

Years of modifications make every upgrade risky and hold the core back.

  3. Processes that take too many screens

People export to spreadsheets because the SAP transaction is slower than the workaround.

  4. Too few people who know the system

Key SAP skills sit with one or two people, and hiring takes months.

How we work

Our approach

Every engagement follows the same five stages, scaled to the size of the work.

  1. Assess

We look at your live system, custom code and data before recommending anything.

  2. Design

Target architecture, fit-to-standard workshops and a clean-core extension plan.

  3. Build

Configuration, development and integration delivered and tested in sprints.

  4. Deploy

Data migration, rehearsed cutover and hypercare after go-live.

  5. Run

Managed support, enhancements and release readiness with agreed turnaround times.

Deliverables

What you get

  • Readiness assessment

A sized view of the work, based on your system rather than assumptions.

  • Roadmap and architecture

Target landscape, integrations and the order to deliver them in.

  • Configured, tested solution

Built to your processes and signed off against real scenarios.

  • Fiori apps and BTP extensions

Custom logic outside the core, so upgrades stay predictable.

  • Cutover and data migration plan

Rehearsed before go-live, with clear owners and fallbacks.

  • Training and handover

Documentation and sessions so your team can run what we built.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly.

When does SAP ECC support actually end?

Mainstream maintenance for SAP ERP 6.0 ends on 31 December 2027. Your system keeps running, but SAP stops issuing legal and regulatory updates and support corrections unless you pay for extended maintenance, which runs to the end of 2030.

How long does an S/4HANA migration take?

On the large corporate migrations we have delivered, eighteen months from kick-off to go-live has been typical. The technical conversion is rarely the constraint: data cleansing, custom code decisions, user retraining and cutover planning drive the timeline.

Should we choose RISE Public or Private Edition?

If your ECC system is close to standard, Public Edition is usually the faster and cheaper route. If you carry years of custom ABAP development or face data residency and regulatory constraints, Private Edition gives you the room you need.

Do you work with organisations outside Johannesburg?

Yes. We are based in Johannesburg and work with clients across South Africa, on site or remotely depending on what the engagement needs.

Can you supply consultants rather than run the project?

Yes. Our resourcing practice places screened functional and technical SAP consultants into your own teams on contract or permanent terms, whether or not we deliver the project.
